Pluto is currently retrogrde at 13 Capricorn / 20S48 declination. As I often point out, it is this declination position that is so often overlooked and under-utilized, particularly with Pluto since it does not follow anything close to the invisible plane of orbit along the celestial equator.
As we get the clearest, most up-close pictures of Pluto we’ve ever seen from NASA’s New Horizon space probe, its icy mountainous surface give us a picture and a feeling of the planet, like finally meeting a friend we’ve corresponded wtih for years.
Back to the astrology … if you have planets/points at 20-21 north or south declination, then know they are being transited by Pluto now. In my own case Venus 20N18 and Mercury 20N56 are involved. As Pluto edges closer and closer to its exact contra-parallel to Mercury (and remains in the 4th house of my birth chart, conjunct my Moon 12 Cap), I’m feeling more and more the need to change some thinking habits and put in place new ones. Transformation of thought — even emotional/mental healing. I have no agenda as to exactly how I think this should go or what should be changed. But it may only be necessary to see where there is disempowerment and allow change there. Beliefs that weaken rather than strengthen, that is what needs attention.
Pluto’s process allows purging when needed. Psychological, emotional, even physical purging if that is needed to complete the process. Do it, don’t resist. Maybe some of us need a safe place and to start with a familiar approach, but if our intention is guided by ultimate healing and inner empowerment (alignment with our greatest potential), then there is no stopping.
Pluto tests our strength to hold on through the toughest of times and to let go when something/someone is already gone or threatens to destroy us. The memories, the good feelings and experiences, they are all yours, part of your consciousness forever. The debris, the waste — it becomes toxic if we hold onto it.
Let it go.
Breathe deep, and let it go.
Lying down, breathing deeply, and letting it out. This is what I call ‘letting go practice.’
There is so much power in freeing up space inside us this way.
