Jupiter-Moon-Venus in Taurus (a poem)

MOON-JUPITER-VENUS As seen after sunset in Portland, OR 24 March 2012 Legions came with Aries,
marching armies neverending,
shook the ground in warning.
They will come again.
But our good fortune brings a peace,
a resting bull in verdant pastures,
laid there as if by Spring’s renewal;
somewhere a special child is born,
as bright as that ruler in the sky,
as calm as the night before the storm,
which will come again,
a tempest’s promise of a greater vision,
lit by lightning in the dark of night,
nature’s forces far greater than our own:
may they unite mankind.
