Don’t worry, it comes back! There will be another one on March 25. The planets will be more tightly clustered, but we will have a briefer time in which to see them in the night sky and take pictures.
At 7 pm here today in Portland, Jupiter (6TAU42) was in the middle at about a 45° angle with Moon (17TAU58) on top and Venus (22ARI57) on bottom.
On March 25 (at the same time) Venus (21TAU49) will be on top with Moon (14TAU26) in the middle and much closer to Jupiter (12TAU02). Now we have all of them momentarily living in harmony together so cozy in Taurus. (Yes, tropical zodiacal Taurus, not the constellation).
So while we’re talking about these three, what does it mean? Well, that depends on your particular birth chart and how it lines up for you. But in general (in the mundane sense), we have to look back at the New Moon when the Moon passed nearest the Sun to see what energies will be carried forward by the Moon.
During the time that Venus is an evening star (setting after the Sun) it is taking a backseat to the Sun, since the Sun and everything near it is rising first. This means will power gets priority over a diplomatic approach; strength before tenderness.
The New Moon on March 22nd is truly a rising one, since it is exact during the Sunrise, and a busy one with two more planets involved! On the morning of the 22nd Mercury (retrograde) rises first, then Sun and Moon, followed by quickly by Uranus.
This New Moon in Aries is about unified, resolute action. Think things out just a bit, then act. Thought and communication lead the way with some quick rethinking needed while on the move. Uranus’ involvement means surprise, impulsive actions as if no one else is involved or affected. Inventiveness is great, but make sure you ask before you ‘borrow’ someone else’s tools, okay? Or better yet, be inventive with your own stuff. So this will be a time of disruption in which a new cycle of communication and freedom will be initiated for many people.
This is the ‘act first’ new moon. Words don’t really mean what they may sound like. You’re just in a hurry to get a move on. Many of you will have friends, siblings or relatives who take offense or are disappointed.
This is where the Moon-Jupiter-Venus alignment comes in. Time to apologize. Mercury has moved back into Pisces. You took initiative in doing your thing, now take just as much initiative to smooth things out, apologize and listen to the other person. Look at the real effects of your actions. A burst of new, erratic energy needs to be settled and stabilized. A nice hug is always worth getting that lump in your throat out of the way first.
Sometimes it is really important to get a thing moving – now! But take a little time to look back and see if there is any debris in your wake. Pick it up and just remember we’re all in this together and no fair trashing other’s lives while enacting an individual agenda.
Moon-Jupiter-Venus in Taurus is a reminder to be anchored by values that last and to only act impulsively on purely self-interest when you just cannot hold back any longer. Yes, sometimes it is better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission, but mostly on the little things. We are still creatures of need and we need each other to remind us that alone our humanity is delicate, but shared it is strong.
